About this program

Business and Technology University (BTU) is announcing a call for Bachelor’s degree students to study at the following partner European universities during the Spring Semester of the 2026/2027 academic year as part of a partially funded exchange programme:

Selected students will spend one semester at a partner European university with partial funding, which includes tuition-free study and accommodation in the university dormitory at a special student rate.

The programme provides students with the opportunity to gain international academic experience, develop intercultural skills, and have the courses completed abroad fully recognized at BTU upon their return.

Selection Process

  • Submission of the required application documents by the student;
  • Eligibility check of the submitted documents by the Development and International Relations Office;
    -Interview with the Selection Committee;
    -Final selection of scholarship recipients by the host university.

Selection Criteria

-Academic performance:0–10 points
-Motivation: 0–10 points
-Oral presentation / language competence: 0–10 points
-Vulnerable group:0–1 point
-Newcomer students: 0–0.5 points

Additional Information

  1. Definition of vulnerable groups:

    -Persons with disabilities;
    -Socially vulnerable persons;
    -Internally displaced persons from Georgia’s occupied territories or persons residing in the occupied territories.

  2. According to Article 49², Paragraph 4 of the Law of Georgia on Amendments to the Law of Georgia on Higher Education, it is not permitted to suspend the student status of a student participating in an exchange educational programme. Students participating in the mobility programme remain enrolled as active students at their home university. Therefore, students are required to complete administrative registration at BTU each semester.

Eligibility

Third-, fourth-, and fifth-semester students with strong academic performance enrolled in the Information Technology, Computer Science, and Artificial Intelligence bachelor’s programmes are eligible to participate in the competi

  • ✓ English Language Competence (= B2)
  • ✓ Study level (= BA)
  • ✓ Study programme (contains_any საინფორმაციო ტექნოლოგიები,კომპიუტერული მეცნიერება და ხელოვნური ინტელექტი)
  • ✓ Open to these semesters (in 3,4,5)

  • • Proof of English Language Proficiency (a language assessment certificate issued by the BTU Academic Affairs Office confirming a minimum B2 level is sufficient) required
